Export formats

MermaidSnap lets you export your diagrams in two formats:

PNG (Recommended)

Best for most uses. PNG files work everywhere — presentations, documents, emails, social media.

How to export as PNG:

  1. Create your diagram
  2. Click the PNG button in the toolbar
  3. Your file downloads automatically

SVG

Best for web use or when you need to resize without losing quality. SVG files stay crisp at any size.

How to export as SVG:

  1. Create your diagram
  2. Click the SVG button in the toolbar
  3. Your file downloads automatically

Copy to clipboard

Need to paste your diagram directly into another app?

  1. Create your diagram
  2. Click the Copy button
  3. Paste anywhere (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V)

Tips for best results

  • For presentations: Use PNG with a white background
  • For documents: Use PNG or SVG
  • For websites: Use SVG for crisp display at any size
  • For social media: Use PNG with a colored background
